What is COYCM? |
COYCM is an acronym for "Compassion of Youth Community Ministry."
We are a non-profit organization of young believers who strive to return to the Biblical principles as prescribed by God in his word ; to discover and understand his sovereign will ; and to develop a life of growth centered on Christ our Savior. We also strive to accompany and mentor the needs of young people in Haiti, safeguarding their future in order to help create disciples who fear God by the power of the Holy Spirit and who contribute to the development of a strong Christian Community. Our mission is dedicated to services that are reaching young people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and guiding them through discipleship for the Lord. We are focused on actively working with any youth who desire to move forward in their spiritual and personal growth with the Lord.

How can you help? |
Why help Haiti’s children? The children of Haiti are no different than the children in America EXCEPT that Haiti is the poorest country in the Americas and the 3rd poorest country in the world. In Haiti there are no Food Stamps, No Head Start, No Medicaid, No Public Health Care, Emergency Food and Shelter Program or Public Housing. No publicly funded education. The majority of the children in Haiti live in houses with dirt floors, no electricity, no bath rooms, and go to bed hungry many nights. This is why we feed them a healthy nutritious meal every school day. They are wonderful kids, smart, happy, polite, respectful and hopeful, but can't attend school without some help. Would you be willing to pray for these children and if the Lord leads your heart consider sponsoring one to go to school? It is our goal at COYCM to provide scholarships to as many of the kids in our group as possible. The fee for one year of school, which includes supplies and uniforms, is $250.00. |
