Walnise

My name is Walnise, I am 10 years old.
I have 1 brother and 4 sisters. I live with my parents.

​I love school, but my parents do not have the possibility to help me with the tuition. They sell little things out in the street so they can provide food for us, but they do not make enough to pay a school fee. The school sends me back home when my parents cannot pay the fees.  Sometimes when I was at school, I got very hungry which makes it hard to learn.
 I am in the 1st grade, and my grades are always good. I want to become a dressmaker (sewing) someday or an Agronomist to grow food for my community. I believe a scholarship would help me so much because my mom and dad cannot help me.  I will study hard and learn in school to get good grade. When I finish my school, I will help my community, and those who cannot go to school.  I hope someone chooses to sponsor me.

Annuel

​My name is Annuel and I am 12 years old. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. 
I am in 4th grade, and my future goal is to become a plumber.

​A scholarship will help continue my schooling in Haiti. Sometimes I cry when I get sent back home because I am unable to pay the school fees. I always feel embarrassed when my classmates and friends stay at school and I am sent home because my parents cannot pay the tuition.

 The scholarship would make me feel strong and encourage me to work hard towards my goal. When I am done with school, I would like to work there in COYCM and give back to those who have helped me. 

Ronelson

My name is Ronelson, and I have 3 sisters. I am in 5th Grade.   My grandma is the one who, when she can, helps pay my school fees.   At home, it is often hard to meet our basics needs. Sometimes I don’t want to go to school because I always fear that they will send back home. When the school sends me back home, I often stay for weeks before I can go back again.  
This scholarship would take my fear away and I would work very hard to get good grade in school. I would like to become an electrician or a doctor when I finish my high school education. 

Wilguens

​My name is Wilguens. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother, and we are living with my mom. I am 8 years old, and I am in 1st grade. 

My future goal is to become a doctor someday to serve my country.  Sometimes I ask my mom if I will ever be a doctor because she always struggles to care of us. I am often hungry because she cannot provide meals for us every day.  

​A scholarship will allow me to go to school and my mom will worry less about my school tuition. I don’t feel well when other kids go to school and I cannot go because my mom can’t pay the tuition. I will work hard and learn in school. I will pray for someone to help my family.

Christer-love

My name is Christer-love and I am 9 years old. I live with my mom.  

My dad is not staying in our house because he and mom have a very difficult relationship. 

The relationship has been affecting my life and the life my two other sisters. My mom tries every day to provide for the family. Sometimes we are left without a meal for days. If my mother does not pay the school fees, I am sent home.

I am in the 2 second grade, and I truly believe that a scholarship would relieve some of the burden from my mom’s back. I will work hard to get good grades in school. My future goal is to become a nurse. I know that becoming a nurse will help me to be involved and support my community someday.
