[10] so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. [11] This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, [12] in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

What is the Gospel?

To rightfully understand the message of the gospel...is to understand how it is “Good News”.  To do this we must understand who God is.

God is Infinite & Immense. He is good and just. He is merciful and full of grace. He is everywhere at all times. He is loving. He is sovereign, He is perfect, He alone is Holy and demands holiness from all, and He is severe.

In light of this we also need to understand who we are...
We are sinful. fallen. lost. blind and WE ARE DEAD. In such a state, We are unable in any way to respond or act righteous towards a Holy God.

This is not good news...

but God who is rich in mercy... He had a plan! He carried out His plan! He declared it from the beginning, that He would enter into time that He would live as His creation. He would fulfill His law and He would become our sins He would bear His wrath. He would conquer death. He will rise again. He would give His righteousness to His people and He will complete what He started! He will redeem all things! He is our reward! To the praise of His glorious grace! For the joy of His people.

That is the glorious good news of the Gospel!
