[Parables]..are artistic, beautiful, and moving. Mythical but real. Fiction but truth. Powerfully symbolic and allegorical (in a sense), but revelations of the very true, very literal kingdom of God. The parables highlight the keys to life and death; they are postcards from the world of eternal glory.”

What is the Gospel?

To rightfully understand the message of the gospel...is to understand how it is “Good News”.  To do this we must understand who God is.

God is Infinite & Immense. He is good and just. He is merciful and full of grace. He is everywhere at all times. He is loving. He is sovereign, He is perfect, He alone is Holy and demands holiness from all, and He is severe.

In light of this we also need to understand who we are...
We are sinful. fallen. lost. blind and WE ARE DEAD. In such a state, We are unable in any way to respond or act righteous towards a Holy God.

This is not good news...

but God who is rich in mercy... He had a plan! He carried out His plan! He declared it from the beginning, that He would enter into time that He would live as His creation. He would fulfill His law and He would become our sins He would bear His wrath. He would conquer death. He will rise again. He would give His righteousness to His people and He will complete what He started! He will redeem all things! He is our reward! To the praise of His glorious grace! For the joy of His people.

That is the glorious good news of the Gospel!
